The Year In Films
Well People, we are an editing boutique, so most of us have a love affair (obsession?) with films. We don’t have a March Madness pool, we do the Oscars. Its been a tradition now for three years. And in that vein, another yearly event is the Year End Movie Recap. Anyone who cares enough makes a top ten list and breaks it down. Here are the answers so far.
Jason rocks it like this:

10) Me and You and Everyone We Know
Erik had some caveats about the year:
This year I only saw 12 new releases, so in the interest of being selective/critical, I'm just doing a very John Cusack "top 5".
1) I am a sex addict (Tribeca)
2) Brick (sundance)
3) Munich
4) Kung Fu Hustle
5) Syriana
To tell you the truth, out of those 5 I listed, the top 2 are the only ones I would call seriously inspired pieces. The last few are kind of filler. I need to see more movies.
Jenna was non too pleased, either:
Sadly, upon scanning The List I realized that I didn't like many movies this year all that much. Cinema failed to thrill or delight me this year. Here are the ten movies I enjoyed the most, though few of them would make it onto a true top ten list:
1. The Squid and the Whale
2. The Aristocrats
3. The 40-Year-Old Virgin
4. Batman Begins
5. Walk the Line
6. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
7. Shopgirl
8. The Beat That My Heart Skipped
9. (tie) Millions and Harry Potter 4
10. (tie) MirrorMask and Serenity.
That's a fucked-up list.
